FAQs
1. Who is this retreat for?
EMBRACE is designed for BIWOC and their female allies ages 18 and up who are seeking rest, reconnection, and radical self-love. Allies are welcome.
BIWOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color. The term recognizes women whose lived experiences are shaped by race, culture, and identity in ways that often include navigating systemic barriers, cultural expectations, and spaces that may not always feel fully safe or affirming.
This retreat intentionally centers the BIWOC , while also welcoming female allies who wish to participate with openness, humility, and a commitment to honoring and supporting those experiences.

The Ally Commitment
EMBRACE is a space that intentionally centers the healing, rest, and lived experiences of our BIWOC sisters. Female allies are welcome to join this gathering with the understanding that the retreat holds this intention at its core.
Being an ally in this space means arriving with openness, humility, and a willingness to listen and learn. It means recognizing that while the practices offered are for everyone’s wellbeing, the space is designed to uplift and prioritize the voices and experiences of women of color.
Allies help cultivate this environment by participating with care, respecting boundaries, and honoring the purpose of the gathering.
If you feel called to show up with curiosity rather than authority, listening rather than leading, and a genuine commitment to shared healing, you are welcome here.
Together, we create a community rooted in respect, reflection, and radical self-love.

2. Why This Space Exists
Many women of color move through the world carrying immense strength while also navigating layers of responsibility, expectation, and invisibility. Opportunities for deep rest, reflection, and self-nurturing are often limited.
EMBRACE was created as a restorative space to pause, breathe, and return to oneself.
Through yoga, mindfulness, healing arts, and intentional conversation, this retreat invites participants to reconnect with their inner voice, cultivate radical self-love, and feel supported within a community rooted in care and respect.
Allies who join the space do so with the understanding that the retreat centers the experiences of our BIWOC sisters and that listening, learning, and holding space are part of the shared
journey.
